Whilst many have forgotten about pumpkins and witches, clutching instead a gingerbread latte and humming along to festive jingles, I still can't completely let go of the beautiful autumn we had this year. A bit like the strong-willed golden leaves hanging on to the branches of the silver birch in my garden.

I recently visited Clumber Park, which, for those of you who don't know is owned by the National Trust. At one point, the grounds were part of the ancient Sherwood Forest and owned by generations of the Dukes of  Newcastle.

Along with its vast 3000+ acre space, there is also a walled garden, and huge glasshouse, which you will see in the photos below.

I actually stayed in a caravan for a couple of nights with my parents, which is also located in the woods. Admittedly, I was a bit miffed when there was no signal or WiFi on-site, but it was truly a blessing in disguise.

I've grown quite fond of walled gardens this year. If you'd like to see a similar set of photos please read my Elsham Hall post.
