*This post is a collaboration with J.D. Williams and I was gifted the items I talk about in the post , but all words and opinions are my own.

New bedding can truly transform a space. Whether you rent or own your house, buying a fresh duvet cover can be an affordable way to mix it up and change the feel of your room.

When my boyfriend moved in with me in November, we were presented with two problems.

  1. We needed to make it feel like our home rather than just mine.

  2. We needed to solve the constant duvet war we were battling in every night.

I'm confident to say that J.D. Williams has solved both of these problems for us.

This grey check brushed cotton bedding suits us both down to the tee. I think grey is such a fabulous neutral colour that goes with almost anything without it being boring beige or dirt-prone white.

The grey check means that he's happy, whilst the cute button detailing saves it from looking like a teenage boy's room.

Meanwhile, the brushed cotton is to die for. At first, I was a little apprehensive about the material being too warm. But, it is divine to sleep in, especially as it has been very icy in the UK this winter.

And, as the duvet war? We opted for a king size cover to use on our standard-size double bed. It's honestly the best hack I could recommend for couples who don't want to fork out for a new bed frame or mattress!

Overall, I would actually say that J.D. Williams has created a new problem for us...

We no longer want to get out of bed in the morning and we've managed to sleep through our alarm twice now. Oops!

You can see J.D. Williams' full range of bedding and homeware on their website.

What do you think? Do you love sinking into fresh sheets as much as I do? Let me know your bedroom hacks below.
